First time at an Orlando Pirates match
Prior to this event, I had spent some time with a few Orlando Pirates supporters, and it was nothing short of amazing.
During our time together, the supporters promised me a spectacle – something I was admittedly skeptical about, as I’m not a football fan. However, what unfolded that day didn’t just make me a fan; it made me believe in Orlando Pirates – not only as a football club, but as an entire community, fans included.
To their supporters, Orlando Pirates is affectionately known as Ezimnyama Ngenkani, The Bucs, and, as one die-hard fan proudly put it, “a club that doesn’t play in championship finals, but a club that wins championships.”
